MISSION STATEMENT FOR ASBURY UMC
Jesus gives us the clearest understanding of our purpose and role as followers: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second (command) is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself." Matthew 22:37-39.
Asbury strives to cultivate an environment where every follower of Jesus Christ can grow in understand how they, "Love the Lord (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) with all our heart, soul and mind." We do so by allowing the truth of scripture to penetrate our lives which allows the love of God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) to flow through us into our relationships with our neighbors.
