Beloved,
Having a Boy Scout in the family I find that I relate to this passage from Ezekiel
38:7 which says in part, "Get ready, be prepared..." I am struck by that bit of
wisdom as we enter into August. We know that August will go quickly, and then
it will be September and October, and before we know it Thanksgiving and then
Christmas will be upon us. Get ready, time is marching along. The season will
change, the weather, the daylight, the energy in the air, all will change, and yet,
God is the same. God is present in every moment. I ask that we are prepared for
whom ever God will send through our doors, into our lives. May we be prepared
to respond to God as we are led. Be prepared beloved, we never know what God
might call each of us to do next!
