Pastor's Corner September 2013

Pastor’s Corner:

Temple Diehl

Beloved,

School has started, the rhythm of life is moving into the fall season. We are preparing for the holiday season, time marches on. In Ecclesiastes 3 we are reminded that for everything there is a season. As the days begin to shorten and the air turns brisk, what season of faith are you in? Are in a season of doubt. A season of discovery, a season of rest and trust in the Lord, a season of ever growing desire for more of God? Whatever season you are in, lean in to it. Lean in to God. Lean in to this time, for we know it too shall pass. I Pray that in every season, you seek God for your moment by moment needs. Your joy may be increase when you lean in to the One who is the very giver of life and joy. I pray that this season finds you with that longing that only God can fill.

As we enter in to Charge Conference Season, our District Superintendent, Dr. Greg Tener has asled us to ponder 4 questions. I present them to you and ask that you do ponder them, both personally and as a congregation. These questions are:

1. What have we/I been doing in ministry?

2. What have we/I learned?

3. What relationships have we/I built and nurtured?

4. What is God calling us/me to do next?

These are good questions for us to think and pray about. I pray that you have a most blessed month and see you at Charge Conference!

See you Sunday,

Temple
